Act

Actuelle was Pathé’s lateral-cut record marque, introduced in Britain in the early 1920s as the company moved away from its distinctive vertical-cut discs towards records playable with conventional needles. Its catalogue mixed popular songs and dance bands with material drawn from Pathé’s wider repertoire, making the label an interesting marker of the industry’s transition towards standardised disc formats.
