André Bauge was a French baritone and actor of the 1930s-40s who recorded sentimental French songs. This Pathé recording of 'Rose Rouge' and 'J'ai Toujours Cru Qu'un Baiser' represents French vocal repertoire of the period. Bauge was moderately popular but is not widely remembered outside France and francophile circles today.
