Dorothy Labbette was a British soprano who also performed under the name Lisa Perli; W.H. Reed was a violinist and close associate of Elgar. Columbia L1590 is a 12-inch pressing of four songs for voice and violin, spread over two sides. Labbette's Columbia recordings are moderately collected, particularly by enthusiasts of British vocal music of the interwar period.
