Franz Drdla, the Czech violinist-composer best known for his 'Souvenir' and 'Serenade', plays 'Märchen' and 'Serenade' on HMV 20197. Drdla recorded extensively and his HMV light violin sides were popular sellers in their day; they remain modestly collectible but were pressed in large numbers and are not scarce.
