Gertie Millar

AKeep off the Grass

Label: Decelith
Genre: Music Hall
Format: 78rpm shellac disc, 10 inch unless noted
Reference: #8639

Gertie Millar was one of the most celebrated musical-comedy actresses of the Edwardian era, a star of the Gaiety Theatre and the wife of composer Lionel Monckton. This Decca pressing with the unusual catalogue designation 'elith' — possibly an early or anomalous Decca catalogue entry — contains 'Keep Off the Grass'. The catalogue designation is unusual and warrants physical examination.
