HMV D195 pairs the LSO under Arthur Nikisch playing the Marriage of Figaro overture (from around 1913) with Mackenzie conducting a Little Minister overture. Nikisch was one of the most celebrated conductors of the pre-war era and his recordings with the LSO are among the most historically important early orchestral 78s. This disc is of real collector interest.
