Marlene Dietrich, the legendary German-American cabaret and film star, recorded "Time on My Hands" and "I Couldn't Sleep a Wink Last Night" for Columbia's DC-series, a prestige label of the 1930s–1940s. Dietrich's sultry, iconic voice defined an era of nightclub and theatrical recording.
