The Original Memphis Five were an early jazz ensemble (c. 1920) led by pianist Jimmy Saunders. 'St Louis Gal' and 'Shufflin' Mose' are early jazz sides; this Columbia 50-D pressing is from an important early jazz series that is keenly collected.
