Ottilie Patterson, the Northern Irish jazz and blues vocalist who sang with Chris Barber's band, recorded these blues standards for Decca's '10000 series' in the mid-1950s. Patterson was one of Britain's finest blues singers and recordings from this period are keenly collected by British traditional jazz enthusiasts.
