Russell Hunting and Michael Casey recorded the 'Casey' comic monologue series for Pathé in the acoustic era. 'Casey at the Wake' and 'Casey Taking the Census' are two-part novelty pieces typical of early 1900s vaudeville; Pathé acoustics of early American monologue comedy are historically significant.
