The South Sea Islanders were a vocal group, likely Samoan or Polynesian, who recorded for Columbia. 'For You and I' and 'Palolo' appear to be popular songs with Polynesian themes; the 1292-D catalogue number suggests a 1920s–30s pressing from Columbia's popular catalogue.
