The Tonhalle Orchestra performing the overture and intermezzo from Ermanno Wolf-Ferrari's opera 'Il Segreto di Susanna' (Susanna's Secret), conducted by Wolf-Ferrari himself, on Decca K1872. A composer conducting his own opera is always historically interesting; Wolf-Ferrari's delicate comic operas had a substantial following and a self-conducted recording is of specialist collector interest.
