Vassily Sharonov was a Russian bass who recorded for several early labels including Beka, a Berlin-based company with extensive operations recording Eastern European and Russian singers around 1905–1910. This disc, Beka 6750, contains a Koorgan ballad and 'Across the Water'. Beka pressings of Russian singers from this period are uncommon outside specialist collections.
