AEspana Waltz

Victor Herbert's Band performs the Espana Waltz on Zonophone 9384, a single-sided early British pressing. Like the companion Zonophone by Victor Herbert's Band in this collection, the 9000-series number places this in the 1905–1910 range; Herbert was the celebrated Irish-American composer and these early Zonophone band pressings have modest but real period appeal.AI summary

Victor Herbert's Band

AMoszkowski Serenade

Victor Herbert, the Irish-American composer and bandleader, recorded instrumental sides for early American Zonophone before becoming famous for his operettas. Zonophone 1561 is a single-sided pressing, placing this in the early acoustic era, roughly 1900–1906. Herbert's early Zonophone band sides are sought by collectors of Edwardian cylinders and discs, and single-sided Zonophones in this number range are uncommon survivors.AI summary
