Vita Sackville-West — the novelist, poet and garden designer, partner of Harold Nicolson and member of the Bloomsbury Group — reads from her poem 'The Land' on Columbia D40192. Spoken-word records by major literary figures are an uncommon and specialised collecting area, and Sackville-West's public celebrity makes this of interest beyond literary specialists.
