Vladimir de Pachmann was a legendary Russian pianist of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, celebrated as one of the finest interpreters of Chopin and a virtuoso of remarkable technical skill. This Victor recording of 'Prelude in D-flat Major' (Op. 28 No. 15, 'Raindrop', or another work) represents a major pianist's interpretation. Victor pressings of Pachmann's recordings are historically important and collectable.
