Will Hay, the British comedian and character actor, recorded 'Fourth Form at St. Mary's' (Parts 1 and 2) for Columbia FB1540; Hay was famous for his bespectacled schoolmaster character and his comedy routines about education and incompetence, and his recordings capture the music-hall tradition adapted for the 1930s.
