Columbia 829 is an early British acoustic pressing credited to the 'Dixieland Jazz Band' — a generic name used on several UK labels in the early 1920s to capitalise on the jazz craze, not necessarily the Original Dixieland Jazz Band itself. The titles 'Soudan' and 'Meow' (attributed to Windeatt) suggest a light novelty-dance coupling typical of the period.AI summary
