Percy Grainger was an Australian-born composer and pianist whose folk-influenced music and eccentric personality made him one of the most distinctive figures in early twentieth-century music. This disc on the Pianola label, catalogue 1/2, couples his 'Spring Song' with Elgar's 'Salut d'Amour' played by J. H. Clapham; the Pianola label is not a standard commercial imprint and may indicate a piano-roll transcription or specialist pressing.AI summary
