ABonnie Leezi Lindsay
BWe parted on the shore

Dougal Macnab recorded these two Scottish traditional songs for Piccadilly, a British budget label: 'Bonnie Leezi Lindsay' and 'We Parted on the Shore'. Macnab appears to have been a local Scottish performer, and these are typical of the regional folk and traditional music recorded for small labels in the 1920s-1930s.AI summary

Dougal Macnab

AKilliecrankie
BWe parted on the Shore

Dougal Macnab was a Scottish singer performing traditional Scottish material, and 'Killiecrankie' is a well-known Scottish song. The Royal label is not a major British imprint and catalogue numbers in this range suggest the early 1920s. Macnab is not widely documented in standard references, and Scottish regional performers on minor labels can be overlooked by the mainstream market while attracting collectors of Scottish traditional music.AI summary
