General William Booth — founder of the Salvation Army — on Columbia 2075, coupling 'Please Sir Save Me' with 'Through Jordan.' Spoken-word records by major religious and social figures of the Victorian and Edwardian era are an uncommon collecting area, and Booth's public significance gives this historical weight beyond the gramophone market.
