M. Affre — almost certainly Amedée Affre, the celebrated French dramatic tenor — performing 'Asile héréditaire' from Rossini's Guillaume Tell on Columbia catalogue 50385. As with the companion disc (id 9221), Affre's Columbia recordings are of interest to collectors of early French operatic singing.
