M. Affre — almost certainly Amedée Affre, a celebrated French dramatic tenor associated with the Paris Opéra at the turn of the twentieth century — performing 'Salut demeure' from Gounod's Faust on Columbia catalogue 50386. Affre's recordings are of interest to collectors of early French operatic singing.
