George Lashwood was an Edwardian music-hall performer celebrated for his elegant style and 'Champagne Charlie'-type material. Zonophone 58 is an exceptionally low catalogue number — among the earliest Zonophone pressings made in Britain, dating from around 1900–1902. Single-sided Zonophones at this number range are among the earliest surviving British disc records and are genuinely scarce; Lashwood is a recognised name and this is an early document of his recording career.

The summary above was written by AI from what is known of the artist and the pressing. It is not a description of this copy's condition, and we have not checked every detail — ask us and we will tell you what we can actually see.
